Cutlume is a free, ad-supported video editor. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We do not ask you to create an account, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Your videos, photos and audio stay on your device

• Cutlume asks for access to your Photo Library so you can pick clips and photos to edit and save finished videos. Your media is processed on your device only and stored in the app's private storage. It is never uploaded to us.
• Cutlume asks for the Microphone only when you record a voiceover. Recordings stay in your project on your device.
• Music you add from the Files app is copied into your project on your device.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

2. Advertising

Cutlume is funded by ads served through Google AdMob and its mediation partners. Some features can be unlocked by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. To serve and measure ads, the ad SDKs may collect:

• Device information (model, OS version, language, screen size, network type)
• Coarse location derived from your IP address
• App interaction data related to ads (impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completion)
• The Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are still shown but are not personalized using your IDFA.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Cutlume shows a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads. You can change your choice later from the ad partner's consent options or by reinstalling the app.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Cutlume is used and to fix problems. It records events such as which screens are opened and which buttons are tapped (with descriptive names, never the content of your videos or text), app opens, ad impressions, device model, OS version, country and a random app-instance identifier. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you by name.

4. Push notifications and remote configuration

• Cutlume may ask permission to send push notifications (for example, news about new features). Delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging. If you allow notifications, a push token for your device is stored on our servers so we can send them. You can turn notifications off any time in iOS Settings.
• On launch the app downloads its remote configuration (feature switches, ad settings, messages) from our server. Like any web request, this transmits your IP address and basic app/device details (app version, bundle id, OS version), which we do not use to identify you.

5. Feedback

If you send feedback from inside the app, we receive the message you type together with your app version and device model so we can reply and investigate. Do not include sensitive personal information in feedback.

6. Data we do not collect

• No account, name, email address or phone number is required or collected by Cutlume itself.
• No contacts, precise location, health or financial data.
• Your video, photo and audio content is never transmitted to us.

7. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We process data for advertising and analytics on the basis of your consent where required, and otherwise for our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving a free app. Remote configuration and push delivery are necessary to provide the service you request.

8. Retention

Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for Firebase for up to 14 months. Push tokens are kept while the app is installed and notifications are enabled. Feedback messages are kept as long as needed to handle them. Ad partners retain data according to their own policies.

9. Your rights and choices

• Tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Personalized ads: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising, plus the ATT choice above; in the EEA/UK, the in-app consent form.
• Notifications: iOS Settings → Notifications → Cutlume.
• Photos / Microphone: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
• Delete your data: uninstalling Cutlume deletes all projects and media on your device. To request deletion of feedback messages or a push token, contact us at the address above.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Children

Cutlume is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our service providers (Google, the ad partners listed above) may process data in the United States and other countries. They rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers from the EEA/UK.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
